On August 5, train No. 83277, loaded with 3,614 tons of coal, slowly departed from Jingbiandong Railway Station in Shaanxi Province, heading south to Xiangzhoubei Railway Station in Hubei. This marks the milestone of over 80,000 freight trains dispatched via the Haolebaoji-Ji'an Railway.

　　As China's longest strategic coal transportation corridor under the "Northern Coal Transported South" plan, this heavy-haul railway, put into service in 2019, has transported over 400 million tons of cargo during the 14th Five-Year Plan period. It plays a vital role in regional economic development and energy supply security.

　　Spanning 1,813.5 kilometers across seven provinces, namely Inner Mongolia, Shaanxi, Shanxi, Henan, Hubei, Hunan and Jiangxi, the Haolebaoji-Ji'an Railway is the world's longest heavy-haul railway built and opened in a single phase. It is a key channel in China's national "Northern Coal Transported South” strategy. The "Three West" regions (western Inner Mongolia, Shaanxi and Shanxi) account for over 70% of China's coal dispatch volume. The railway enables "point-to-point" direct coal transportation from the "Three West" to central China, with travel time reduced to just 1-2 days from production to consumption regions.
